IPL 2020: Zareen Khan Calls Out Sunil Gavaskar For His Distasteful Comment On Anushka Sharma And Virat Kohli
One of the legendary cricketers of India Sunil Gavaskar received a severe backlash from the netizens after he spoke in bad taste for Anushka Sharma and her husband and skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli. With him performing low at the last match between RCB and KXIP in IPL 2020, Sunil Gavaskar passed some unsavoury comments on Virat as well as Anushka Sharma. Learning about his sweeping statement, Anushka shared a long note on her Instagram Stories, giving a befitting reply. She asked him why he thought of making such sweeping comments on her. She even asked if he should also give the same amount of respect to her as well. Now, reacting to Gavaskar's snide comments, Zareen Khan also shared a statement on her Instagram Stories where she said that comments like these don't suit a cricket legend like Sunil Gavaskar.

She even raised a question asking him if his wife was also subjected to such behaviour when he didn't perform well on the field. That's not it, Khan also asked if Anushka has been praised for Virat's great performances. Her note read, "Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, you are a cricket legend and making such a distasteful comment on Mr. Virat Kohli regarding his wife doesn’t suit you. Being a cricketer yourself once upon a time, I’m sure you know that there are good days and bad days. I’m wondering if your better half was ever accused if you didn’t perform well on the field. Also, I don’t remember Anushka being praised for all the great performances Mr. Virat Kohli has given on the field till date so why now?"

For the unversed, the last match was a forgettable outing in the IPL for Virat Kohli and in the commentary box, Gavaskar reportedly said, "Inhone lockdown me toh bas Anushka ki gendon ki practice ki hai, (he has only faced Anushka's bowling in lockdown)"

This obviously didn't go down well with the fans of Virushka who slammed the commenter. Some even demanded the BCCI remove Gavaskar from the commentary panel. ALSO READ:  Mom-To-Be Anushka Sharma Congratulates Hubby Virat Kohli’s RCB After IPL Victory, Calls It A ‘Winning Start’
